Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens,
Part of our series of Ash Workshops
In this workshop we will explore and photograph the treescapes of the beautiful Kearsney Abbey in Dover. Celebrated photographer Belinda Knox will guide participants to develop skills while sharing her passion for landscape photography. Through the workshop she will focus primarily on the photographing the ash tree and the surrounding landscape exploring techniques and the use of equipment, however whilst it is helpful to understand the mechanics behind shot making the emphasis for this workshop will be on getting into the mood for photography, sharing the joys of the views. This is an exciting process and which Belinda Knox teaches to both make shooting pictures and experiencing the landscape a pleasure.
Belinda says “Sometimes photographs just seem to present themselves, at other times, we have to work to find the pictures. Ruskin, the famous painter, said that you need seven minutes to absorb a view and enjoy it. Taking this time may then present new ideas for the picture, new angles, new positioning so that energetically the picture comes alive.”
In this workshop participants will learn:
