Tent pegs

Yet many nature lovers and camping enthusiasts know how a tent peg looks like, not many people know that this hook used to be a wooden tool. Whilst technical advances allow us to use metal and plastic tent stakes to hold our camping tents into the ground, early versions of this object were made of branch sections.

Only Robert Penn’s ash tree was able to produce nineteen different tent pegs, among many other objects.
